Reality TV star and budding beauty mogul Kylie Jenner is under the spotlight again for her cosmetics brand, after claims from customers her eyeshadow kits smell toxic.

The 19-year-old KUWTK star launched her range of Kylie Cosmetics early 2016. While the youngest Jenner’s massive social media standing meant the products would be an instant hit, the makeup brand hasn’t been without issues or customer complaints.

The latest of these to hit the company are claims by customers that their “Kyshadow” eyeshadow palettes have a toxic odour.

TMZ reports that at least 15 people have filed complaints to the Better Business Bureau claiming the kits smelled “chemicals and glue” after they’d opened Kylie’s Royal Peach Eyeshadow Palette.

There was also one complaint by a customer the makeup had caused a “horrible headache”.

Comments left on Kylie Cosmetics social media appear to echo these complaints.

The Better Business Bureau has responded to the claims saying the smell is because of the glue used in the packaging. Kylie Cosmetics hasn’t commented publically at this time.

Last year Kylie Cosmetics made headlines when it was revealed it had received an ‘F’ rating by the BBB over a multitude of complaints from customers. These ranged from billing issues to the questionable quality of her LipKits.

In a fiery post shared on her website after the rating was revealed, Kylie wrote that she was “sick and tired of people coming for my business”.

“I love everything about Kylie’s Cosmetics and I will do anything in my power to protect and improve it every day and make you guys happy,” she said.

“I don’t want to respond to the haters but you guys deserve an answer and to know the facts. I love you and apologise to anyone who felt the urge to complain and didn’t receive the service they deserve.”

The BBB later changed its score to a ‘No Rating’ stating the website had been in business for less that a year, and did not have a sufficient track record for a BBB rating.
