During an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, the bubbly blonde confessed that going through her divorce last year kicked off a “rough” time for her.
“Last year was very bizarre and we all go through really weird ups and downs. And sometimes I’m a little bit more seen, and everyone goes through that stuff,” she told Ellen.
“I already feel like 2016 is going to be a much better year than 2015. It’s been rough, but things are going good and I’m much, much better now – I’m in a much better place than I was.”

Kaley, 30, split from her tennis pro hubby Ryan Sweeting last year after 21 months of marriage. While the couple’s official statement described the decision as a mutual one, there were rumours the pair had clashed over Ryan’s career, which had been plagued by injuries in recent months.
“She realised she wants to be with a guy who has a job and is motivated,” a source told ET at the time.
“All of Ryan’s friends knew it was going to end bad.”

During their marriage, both Ryan and Kaley got a permanent reminder of their relationship inked on their skin with matching wedding date tattoos. Ryan even went one step further by adding Kaley’s name near his.
After they split, Kaley had her tattoo covered up with a new design of a large moth – and as she told Ellen, she’s since realised that getting a wedding date tattoo might not have been the best idea.
“I know, I know – don’t tattoo wedding dates,” she told Ellen with a sigh.
“The tattoo was a mistake. [I] had to cover it.”
As for why the actress chose to cover it up with a moth, Kaley revealed there was one important reason behind her decision: “The significance [of the moth] is … it was big enough to cover the numbers,” she said, laughing.

Since the divorce, Kaley’s been linked to a number of hunky Hollywood stars – including Arrow star Paul Blackthorne and country singer Sam Hunt, who Kaley was pictured leaving a Grammys after-party with.
However, the star shot down the talk of her new romance in an interview with Extra, confirming she was “really not” dating the musician.
“If I walked out of the stable with my horse, they would say I’m marrying my horse!” she quipped.
