Jessica Lange speaks out on Caitlyn Jenner comparisons

Caitlyn Jenner’s stunning Vanity Fair cover went viral after she debuted her new look on social media earlier this week, with messages of support flooding in for the star.

Amidst the overwhelmingly positive response, more than a few Twitter users pointed out the lookalike resemblance between Caitlyn and American Horror Story star Jessica Lange!

But what does the actress think of the comparisons? The Daily Beast let Jessica know she was trending on Twitter, and why, in a recent interview.

“Oh really? That’s so wonderful. Well, now I’m going to have to look for that picture,” the 66-year-old star responded.

Caitlyn received even more good news this week with the announcement that she will be honoured with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the 2015 ESPYS.

The ESPYS are awarded by the television network ESPN and celebrate the best in sporting achievement each year. The Arthur Ashe award is given to an individual “whose contributions transcend sports”. Past recipients include Muhammad Ali, Cathy Freeman and Nelson Mandela.

In a statement on ESPN’s website, Caitlyn said the award (named after one of her personal heroes) was “truly special” for her.

“For the first time this July, I will be able to stand as my true self in front of my peers,” she said.

This year’s ESPYS will air on July 15 (US time).
