James Corden reveals he almost legally named his newborn baby girl Beyoncé

This is so funny!

Just days after James Corden, 39, and his lovely wife Julia Carey welcomed their third child on Tuesday, Dec. 12, the TV host has revealed he almost legally named their baby girl Beyoncé — yes, seriously!

“I looked at the doctor and I said, ‘We’re going to call her Beyoncé.’ My wife did not think that was funny,” James said on The Late Late Show on Thursday, Dec. 14.

James then said the delivery room nurse thought he was serious and proceeded to fill out the baby’s birth certificate with the name Beyoncé.

“I had to go over to her and go, ‘Excuse me, there’s only one Beyoncé,'” he joked.

James then explained that he and Julia have actually not chosen a moniker for their third child — so we’ll just have to wait and see what they choose!

The couple, who tied the knot in 2012, are already parents to two older kids, son Max, six, and daughter Carey, three.

Earlier this week, the late-night emcee announced the happy news of his newest daughter’s birth on Twitter.

“Today, we welcomed a beautiful baby daughter into the world. Both she and her mother are doing great. We can’t stop smiling. Thank you Harry [Styles] for stepping in to host the show at two and a half hours notice!” he wrote at the time.

As James has become more and more famous over the years, he’s made it abundantly clear that his family will always come first before his showbiz career.

In 2015, he told People, “What’s more scary? Being a father. No question. It’s just a TV show. It all pales in significance.”

The lovely couple announced the arrival of their newest bundle of joy earlier this week.

The last time we saw Julia in public, she looked ready to pop at the Emmy Awards in September — and she was only five months along!

“I’m here with my wife and she’s five months pregnant, so [I’m] mostly just thinking of places that I can hide snacks,” James joked to E! News at the event. “That’s all I’m really doing — I walk around thinking, ‘Where can I hide snacks?’ Because she’s gonna get hungry every seven minutes. I will face the wrath if she’s not fed. No, I found her a nice seat, so she’s okay.”

So cute!
