She insists she’s never had any cosmetic work done, but Meg Ryan’s fans were calling foul last night as the actress stood on stage at the Tony Awards.
Social media lit up with claims the 54-year-old’s face was almost “unrecognisable” from her younger days, with particular attention being drawn to her tight, wrinkle-free skin and “suspiciously” plump cheeks and lips.
“Dear god, what happened to Meg Ryan?” one Twitter user asked.
“I just gay-gasped so loud at Meg Ryan that people are staring,” cracked another.
While yet another added: “I’m old enough to remember when Meg Ryan looked like Meg Ryan.”
Armchair critics were also quick to point out Meg didn’t seem to be able to move her face properly, suggesting Botox or fillers had been used – which is surely her prerogative and nothing to do with any of us.
We think Meg looked rather lovely in her shimmering nude ball gown.
