Hollywood’s golden girl Gwyneth Paltrow is more likely to be found in the kitchen these days, than on the screen.
Following the success of her four cookbooks and lifestyle website Goop, the Oscar winner and mother of two has put her film career on hold to focus on food, family and her brand.
“I’m not interested in acting right now,” she says. “It is very difficult to be involved in a business, be a mother and have a film career at the same time. But we’re doing very well and had great revenue last year.”
She always had a passion for food, and at the height of her acting career decided it was time for a new direction.
“Food means everything to me. When you walk into a kitchen and smell something simmering on the stove, you get a sense of home,” says the actress.

With a new organic makeup range in the works, the actress-turned-entrepreneur is enjoying the challenges of running her own empire.
“It’s really exciting to be part of something you created.”
