George Clooney officially has the world’s most handsome face

He’s long been famed for his swoon-worthy looks, but now it’s official – Hollywood A-lister George Clooney has the world’s most handsome face, according to the Daily Mail.

Using facial mapping technology carried out by Dr Julian De Silva, who runs a cosmetic and plastic surgery centre in London, the actor’s features were found to be 91.86 per cent accurate to the Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi. For many years, this mathematical equation was thought to hold the key to our perception of human beauty and the ‘perfect’ face.

George’s eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were mapped and measured by a computer model, and The Daily Mail reports his facial features came closest to the Greek ratio.

Using the same method, other male stars were found to come in close to George’s score. Bradley Cooper was second with his features mapped at 91.80 per cent accuracy to the beauty ratio Phi, while Brad Pitt came in third with 90.51 per cent.

Following closely behind is former One Direction singer Harry Styles (89.63 per cent) and David Beckham (88.96 per cent).

The Daily Mail also reports that Ryan Gosling was deemed to have the perfect nose, Harry Styles the best eyes and chin and David Beckham the most perfectly-shaped face.

“George Clooney has been feted as the world’s most beautiful man for decades – and it is great that his status has now been proved by science,” Dr De Silva said.

“He has beautiful facial symmetry and gets closer than any other man to having what the Greeks considered the perfect face.”
