Game of Thrones fans could be seeing a familiar face in Westeros soon! ‘Thinking Out Loud’ singer Ed Sheeran has said he’d like to play an extra on the hugely popular HBO show, according to The Sun newspaper.

With acting experience already under his belt thanks to bit parts on Home and Away and our own Shortland Street, it seems the 24-year-old is a natural in front of the camera!

“There were talks ages ago of me being an extra, which would have been cool,” Ed told The Sun.

“But I’ve got that time off this year, so I’m going to hound them.”

Perhaps Ed could suit up as one of the Night’s Watch at the Wall, or stay at court with the Lannisters at King’s Landing?

Whether or not he ends up on the show, at least Ed already has a fan in one of the Starks! Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) has been tweeting back and forth with the singer and says she was starstruck to meet him.

“When I was a bit younger, Game of Thrones wasn’t as big as it was now, he tweeted about the show and said that he was a fan,” she told Ireland’s Late Late Show last year.

“For me, that was the most amazing thing ever,” Maisie gushed.
