Ex-All Black Dan Carter, and his wife Honor, took in the action at Wimbledon yesterday, along with a host of other famous faces.

The sports star watched day five of the game seated Centre Court with other name attendees including golfer Sergio Garcia – who won the Masters earlier this year – and British football champion David Beckham.

Clearly chuffed to be at the prestigious event, Carter posted this photo of himself with Beckham for his fans on Instagram.

From the looks of it, Honor was also enjoying rubbing shoulders with sporting royalty, sharing a snap of herself, wearing an elegant white lace shift, standing with the former England captain.

She captioned the fun pic: “Such a fun day!: ok_hand: #wimbledon:tennis::trophy#royalbox #spoiltrotten#strawberriesandcream:strawberry::

Others notable names seated Centre Court to watch the championship included US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and Prince Michael of Kent.

Along with the best courtside views, those watching the game from the Royal Box can enjoy lunch, tea and cocktails at the clubhouse over the course of the day.

Although the game is often played in searing heat – yesterday’s game was played in 30-degree weather – it’s a formal affair. Invitations are issued by the Chairman of the All England Club, and there’s a strict dress code.

According to a brochure, which outlines dress expectations, men must wear a jacket and tie and ladies are asked to dress to a similar standard in order “to avoid any embarrassment”.
