Dan Carter has been taking some time out to enjoy a European summer, sharing details of his travels in France while on a break from rugby.

The All Black star, who is currently living in Paris while he plays for Racing 92, has headed off to Provence in the South of France, after winning the French club rugby championship last week.

Taking to Instagram, Dan shared a snap of his teammates celebrating outside the Arc de Triumph, accompanied by the message: “After starting my season in February 2015 it’s easy to say this has been my favourite. It was topped off by winning a World Cup and now couldn’t have thought of a better way to finish it! Can’t wait for this well overdue holiday with my very special family. See you soon @honorcarter.”

And the 34-year-old star has now joined his wife in Provence, where the family look to be enjoying the beautiful sights of the South.

Dan shared this holiday snap to his Instagram page

On Monday, Dan uploaded an envy-inducing snap of him, his wife and friends raising a glass as the sun goes down behind them – pool still in view.

“Cheers to exploring more of this beautiful country,” wrote Dan.

But the All Black proved there’s no rest for a professional athlete, as the next day he shared a photo of his morning run in Roussillon.

Wife Honor meanwhile looks to have been enjoying her stint in the French countryside, sharing several sunkissed snaps with her 8,000 followers over the past week.

Nope, we’re not jealous. Not in the slightest.
