The rocker lovebirds surprised many when they got hitched last year, but it appears Avril and Chad’s marriage may have already hit the skids.
A source tells E! the couple have been “fighting a lot”, with the main issue being that they were in “work mode” when they first met.
“They were doing a collaboration and that’s where the attraction stemmed from. She was in the studio and he was producing her,” the source revealed.
“She was also coming off some bad relationships where she didn’t really feel appreciated as an artist. She felt she and Chad connected on that level.”
However, their work together wasn’t as much of a hit as they hoped – and now the cracks have allegedly started appearing outside of the studio.
With both Chad and Avril reportedly getting jealous over the other’s flirty habits, the future of the couple’s life together could be in doubt.
But for now, at least, the source adds the two are committed to working it out as best they can.
