George and Amal Clooney have confirmed to US media today that they’re expecting twins.
The Talk’s Julia Chen announced the news on Thursday, US time, saying they’d spoken with the couple and confirmed the rumours.
“Beyonce is not the only superstar expecting twins,” she said on the show. “Congratulations are in order for George and Amal Clooney!”
Amal first sparked pregnancy rumours when she was pictured accompanying George to a Netflix screening in London last month. The accomplished human rights lawyer wore a loose-fitting floral dress that showed just the hint of what looked to be a baby bump.
The new arrivals are due in June, just three years after the couple tied the knot.
George and Amal married in Venice, Italy in September 2014. The star-studded guest list included pals like Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Anna Wintour, Bill Murray, Cindy Crawford and Bono.
And while the Ocean’s 11 star has been open about his thoughts on kids, the 55-year-old has remained childless despite numerous long term relationships.
But it seems his human rights lawyer wife, Amal, has changed everything. The 39-year-old, who George describes as “the most amazing human being” has no children from previous relationships.
