How to re-create Toni Street’s glowing beauty look

Now you can achieve our cover girl Toni Street’s glowing look
Toni Street

Lighten up your make-up by taking inspiration from Toni Street’s soft spring flush. We caught up with L’Oréal Paris New Zealand Make-up Director Lisa Matson to learn how she created Toni’s look for her cover story with Woman’s Day.

1. Prep skin with a hydrating primer before applying a thin layer of matte foundation for a sheer finish.

2. Daub on a lightweight cream concealer that’s two to three shades lighter than your foundation under your eyes, down the bridge of the nose, and the centre of your chin and forehead.

3. Sweep bronzer over the areas the sun would naturally colour, then add a pop of peach to the apples of your cheeks.

4. Sweep an apricot eyeshadow over your lids as well as along the bottom lash line. Add more depth to the outer corners and crease with a deep bronze shade.

5. Apply gel liner close to the lashes before curling and applying mascara.

6. Shape and fill in brows with a brow powder.

7. Colour lips in with a soft peach or nude shade, then add a layer of gloss in a similar hue.

Lisa’s Top Tips

Keep foundation sheer. Mix in a little moisturiser or illuminating primer with your foundation for a softer, dewy finish.

Subtly contour using a bronzer to add warmth and help slim the face.

Don’t be shy with blusher. Concentrate colour to the apples of the cheeks for that healthy, flushed look.

Use warm eyeshadow shades to make your eye colour pop and to highlight bronzed skin.

A super-thin layer of black eyeliner along the roots of the lashes is a great way to make them look thicker and eyes more defined.
