How to: Make your own bath oils

Treat yourself to your own personalised bath oil.

Making your own customised bath oil is a wonderful thing to do to treat yourself.

Here are five formulas I recommend, using essential oils to help you recover, de-stress or simply find some energy.

Mix the essential oils together with the almond oil, then pour into the bath just before you get in.

Give it all a swish and enjoy.

Calming

  • 5 drops petitgrain

  • 5 drops ylang-ylang

  • 5 drops orange

  • 1 tsp almond oil

Mood-Elevating

  • 5 drops rosewood (bois de rose)

  • 5 drops palmarosa

  • 3 drops grapefruit

  • 2 drops petitgrain

  • 1 tsp almond oil

Muscle Relaxer

  • 4 drops cedarwood

  • 4 drops chamomile

  • 4 drops lavender

  • 3 drops lemongrass

  • 1 tsp almond oil

Premenstrual syndrome

  • 5 drops bergamot

  • 5 drops geranium

  • 5 drops palmarosa

  • 1 tsp almond oil

Refreshing

  • 5 drops lavender

  • 4 drops peppermint

  • 3 drops grapefruit

  • 3 drops lemongrass

  • 1 tsp almond oil
