The 30-year-old star of hit show Jane the Virgin scored a big win yesterday, taking home the trophy for Best Actress in a TV Comedy – and she looked absolutely gorgeous doing it!
With her cascading old Hollywood-style curls and figure-hugging black Badgley Mischka gown, Gina looked every inch the glamorous star!
To recreate her hair look at home, here’s a step-by-step guide from Joico stylist Paul Norton:
Start by adding Joico Power Whip from roots to ends and blow out hair with a medium round brush until dry
Take three large horizontal sections, spraying Joico IronClad Thermal Protectant spray through each to protect from styling tools
Beginning at the back of the head, use a 1 1/4-inch curling iron to bend 2-inch sections under, then use large hair clips to secure each section and create the perfect wave
Once the set is complete, generously spray several coats of Joico JoiMist Medium Finishing Spray over the entire head to help set the wave while hair cools
Once the set has perfectly cooled and reformed, remove the clips releasing curls, then vigorously run fingers through the hair, breaking up each curl
Rub a coin-sized amount of Joico Creme Wax Texture and Shine from root to tip to help shape the look
