Lady Gaga has taken to Instagram to reveal that she will be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show on February 5, 2017, following in the footsteps of Beyonce, Bruno Mars and Coldplay.

“It’s not an illusion. The rumors are true. This year the SUPER BOWL goes GAGA.”

Following her acclaimed performance of the American National Anthem at last year’s Super Bowl where she blew viewers away with her live vocals, reports surfaced that the NFL was very interested in having Gaga present the much-anticipated half time show.

The singer then posted another instagram, where she confirmed that it was a “done deal”.

“It’s a done deal! I can’t wait to rock for YOU from Houston! Thank you Football fans and Music fans us! DO THIS.”

“I’ve always wanted to sing the National Anthem at a major sporting event since I was a little girl, and for it to be the Super Bowl, it is the ultimate,” she told NFL.com

“This is one of the highest honours of my career.”

She later posted a third excited Instagram post to pump up her fans.
