Budgets were the name of the game on The Block NZ this week as the teams raced complete their guest bedroom and bathroom. With the majority of their budgets already blown, the pressure was on to complete the two rooms with just $15,000.
Host Mark Richardson raised the stakes even higher by offering an additional $10,000 to any team that could come in under budget. This desperately needed bonus kicked the teams into overdrive – Andy and Nate pulled an all-nighter and even Ling and Zing put extra effort into the decor and style of their room.
While all of the teams ended up coming in under budget (and nabbing the extra $10,000), it was Andy and Nate who impressed the judges the most, earning an almost perfect 9.5 points from Jason Bonham thanks to their hard work.
