Kit Harington says being called a hunk is "offensive"

For the average viewer, HBO’s fantasy show Game of Thrones offers plenty of eye candy – from the stunning sets and costumes to the actors themselves!

But if you’re thinking about complimenting Kit Harington’s good looks, don’t: the British actor says being labelled a hunk is “slightly demeaning”.

“It really is and it’s in the same way as it is for women. When an actor is seen only for her physical beauty, it can be quite offensive,” he told Page Six.

Kit, who plays battle-ready Jon Snow on the hit show, went on to add he doesn’t like when the acting seems to come in second to “sex appeal”.

Despite that, the show has become somewhat infamous for its numerous sex scenes, with Kit’s co-star Emilia Clarke joking that “there are other women who remove items of clothing on our show, so they’ve kind of got my nipple count down now” in a recent interview.
