An island resort is opening where no men are allowed

An oasis for those looking for a break from the boys.

Men, we love them, but sometimes you just need a break from them all.

And while there are plenty of women-only gyms, tour groups and even carpark bays, one female entrepreneur has taken things up a notch with a ‘women only’ island sanctuary.

Kristina Roth, founder of SuperShe Island, says she wanted to create a place where women could focus on themselves and their wellbeing.

The women only island is due to open off the coast of Finland.

The American says she got the idea from other restorative holidays she took where she found when men were around women couldn’t relax.

The SuperShe island, off the coast of Finland, will provide a girly oasis for those looking to have some time away from the male species.

But, just being a woman doesn’t mean you will automatically get to visit the island hideaway. Prior to a stay at the island, you’ll need to apply for membership and possibly be interviewed by the founder or referred by another member.

She told the New York Post “I’d like to vet the person and see that they’re well-rounded and would fit in but I don’t want to be elitist.”

The retreat is currently under construction and is due to open later this year.
