Zsa Zsa Gabor’s $600,000 fur coat collection may soon be up for sale by her husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt.
Frederic believes it is pointless paying up to over a thousand dollars a year to store the garments, which he knows his ailing wife will never wear again. He says, “Why should I pay $1200 a year? The furs don’t get better with age and I need lots of money to pay bills so I’m going to sell them. I’m sure the animal lovers will be upset by this sale but what am I going to do with them?”
Ninety-four-year-old Zsa Zsa has been in and out of hospital since undergoing hip surgery last July. Frederic says that they need to sell the collection of furs to pay for the screen icon’s medical bills.
