Zara Phillips, once famous for her tongue stud and rowdy parties, is now hitting the headlines for her outstanding horseriding. Following her triumph at last month’s European Championships, the 24-year-old’s recent performances – including winning the eventing prize for 2005 awarded by the British Animal Health Trust – have brought her a step further to her dream of competing on Britain’s olympic team like her parents Mark and Anne. Friends feel her relationship with England rugby hero Mike Tindall contributes to her recent success. “Being with Mike really helps Zara because he is a dedicated sportsman,” explains Great Britain olympic equestrian team manager Yogi Breisner. “They inspire each other.”
