Will Hall goes for a fall

Shortland Street’s Will Hall, who plays the lovable rogue Dr Kip Denton, has taken a nasty fall on the set of another show. The actor was at Jason Gunn’s studio in Christchurch for a stint on ‘The Erin Simpson Show’. “They had me swinging down a fireman’s pole that’s how they get their guests to enter,” explains Will. “We had rehearsed it once. It was oK. The set is quite large. It’s about 7m to 10m from the pole to the couch, where you do your interview. I had to wave at the camera on the way down. So I swung on to the pole and didn’t quite wrap my legs around; just had my hands on.” The star continues, “I did the rest of the show on adrenaline. I woke up next morning in a hell of a lot of pain and took myself up to the doctor’s.” The star is still not sure if his ribs are broken or just cracked but jokes that he isn’t planning on suing the show just yet, adding, “That’s why I chose acting over rugby otherwise I could have been like this every week.”
