She’s been in and out of rehab more times than we’ve had cooked dinners – and Lindsay Lohan’s dad reckons he’s the one to blame. Michael claims the troubled actress, who is currently serving her sixth stint in a treatment centre, couldn’t cope when he and her mother Dina divorced.
He says, “It all fell apart for Lindsay. She was subjected to making decisions over who she should trust – her mum or her dad. It tore Lindsay up inside.”
But Michael, who’s served a two-year stretch in jail himself, says it’s Dina’s fault too. He claims she is responsible for pushing the ‘oean Girls’ star into the party scene and encouraging her wild behaviour. “Dina was living vicariously through Lindsay,” he says. “Lindsay ended up around all the wrong people and they were there for all the wrong reasons.”However, Michael is hopeful his daughter will finally have her life back on track after this latest round of rehab. He says, “Things are getting better. They are turning around right now. She has made a lot of progress. All I care about is Lindsay having her life back.”
