After years of enduring their troubled marriage, Whitney Houston has finally filed for divorce from her husband Bobby Brown. Her publicist says the singer has no statement to make, adding, “I can just confirm that she has filed for divorce.” The couple, who wed in 1992 and have a 13-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, were dogged by rumours of breakups and drug abuse throughout their union. Bobby has a history of drug and alcohol arrests and was sentenced to 90 days in jail in 2004 for missing three months of child support payments for two other children. Whitney has not yet been able to recapture the greatest musical success of her hits in the 1980s and 1990s which included the mega-hit `I Will Always Love You’ from the 1992 film “The Bodyguard,” in which she also starred opposite Kevin Costner.
