Tom Cruise and his pregnant fiancée, Katie Holmes, have put their wedding plans on hold after a tense festive period spent at Katie’s family home. Tom and Katie ended up leaving three days earlier than planned, according to a close friend, who says, “Katie was in tears, but that’s standard when it comes to dealing with family matters and Tom.” The couple had decided to holiday with her family over Christmas so that Tom could mend his relationship with his fiancée’s parents, following reports that Katie’s father is not happy about the relationship.
