The first trailer for Disney's remake of Beauty and the Beast has been released, starring Emma Watson in the lead role of Belle.
While the trailer focuses more on the setting than the cast, audiences get a sneak peak at the Harry Potter star in the iconic role.
She is part of Beauty and the Beast's star-studded cast, which also includes Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens as the Beast, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere , Luke Evans as Gaston, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, and Emma Thompson as Mrs Potts. Josh Gad, Stanley Tucci, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kevin Kline and Audra McDonald also star.
The remake, which is due for release in 2017, is directed by Bill Condon, best known for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.
Watson was the first to announce her part in the new movie, posting on her Facebook page in January 2015 that the original animated film was “such a big part of her growing up”.
“My six-year-old self is on the ceiling, heart bursting,” she wrote. “Time to start some singing lessons. I can’t wait for you to see it.”
