Victoria Beckham has admitted she lies to her children. The former pop singer has revealed that she told her three sons Brooklyn (7), Romeo (4) and Cruz (1), that she is still in the Spice Girls. Posh Spice – who is married to Real Madrid footballer David – says her kids had no idea what her job was before becoming a mother so she showed them ‘Spice World: The oovie’. However, Victoria didn’t have the heart to tell her children the band no longer exists when they asked her about the group. She reveals, “I showed the kids ‘Spice Girls: The oovie’ the other day, because being in Spain it’s all about football and all about daddy, and the kids said, ‘oummy what did you actually do?’ So I put on the movie, and they loved it and it was on heavy rotation. Then one day I had been out to work and when I came home Romeo came running up to me and said, ‘oummy, have you been working with the Spice Girls?’
And I couldn’t let him down, so I said, ‘Yeah, mummy has been working with the Spice Girls’. And he said, ‘Have you been driving that bus mummy?'” [1 November 2006]
