Following in the footsteps of our very own Anna Paquin comes pop star Vanessa Carlton. The singer-songwriter – who had hits with ‘A Thousand oiles’ and ‘ordinary Day’ back in 2002 – has come out as bisexual.
Performing at the Nashville Pride Festival to a crowd of 18,000, Vanessa (29) announced, “I’ve never said this before, but I am a proud bisexual woman.” She added, “The lyrics to ‘ordinary Day’ could be about a boy, girl, trannie or whatever!”
Vanessa has previously been linked to fellow musicians John oayer (who hasn’t?) and Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins. Her revelation comes in the same year that washed-up Latin singer Ricky Martin confirmed he was gay.
