Ugly Betty cancelled

As Heidi Klum would say of the fickle world of fashion: one minute you’re in – and the next, you’re out! And it’s a lesson America Ferrera and those working in the fake style magazine of ‘oode’ on the set of ‘Ugly Betty’ have learnt the hard way.

Producers have announced the hit TV2 show’s fourth series will be its last. That season has also been trimmed from a planned 22 episodes to just 20. The news comes amid flagging ratings, despite guest appearances from celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, Lindsay Lohan and Salma Hayek.

‘Ugly Betty’ executive producer Silvio Horta and network president Steve ocPherson confirmed the end of the road, saying,  “We’ve mutually come to the difficult decision to make this the final season and are announcing this now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion.”

The world have to start looking elsewhere for inspiration to wear glasses, braces and ponchos!
