Charlotte Church is set to be the next Oprah with an eight-part chat show to screen in the United Kingdom.
The singer, most famous for her romance with Welsh rugby player Gavin Hanson, will interview celebrities and act in comedy sketches. The show will include live music. “I’m so excited to have my own TV show,” Charlotte says. “I have a brilliant team around me and it’s great to be given the opportunity to act in sketches, have fun with members of the public and meet some famous people. I hope everyone enjoys watching it as much as I enjoy making it.”
The head of TV network Channel Four’s entertainment and comedy division says it’s Charlotte’s natural skill that makes her right for the new show. “Charlotte Church is such an exciting talent and while she is one of the biggest stars in the country, she remains almost completely unaffected by it.”
