Tori’s garage sale

Tori Spelling held a garage sale at her Californian home on Friday, attracting 60 punters keen to buy a slice of the `Beverley Hills 90210′ star for their own. But fans were left a little disappointed as the majority of the memorabilia consisted of signed scripts (for $145) and signed photos of Tori and cast members (various prices). Those who sought furniture and fine silver, however, had a field day. Tori watched as strangers went through every drawer and closet in her house; items such as a pair of silver cigarette dishes ($70), a silver Tiffany serving platter ($4,050) and a silver gravy boat and coaster ($65) were quickly snapped up. “I had to break away from the past and be ready to start anew,” she says of the sale. “It’s out with the old, in with the new.” The “old” included dozens of items from wedding to her first husband, writer-actor Charlie Shanian, such as “Tori & Charlie” napkins, a magazine cover of the wedding, homemade CDs of wedding music, wedding books and her framed wedding flowers.
