Toni Braxton files for bankruptcy

Hit 1990s singer Toni Braxton is filing for bankruptcy for the second time in 12 years. The 43-year-old R&B songstress claims she owes up to $50 million in unpaid debts to companies such as The Four Seasons Hotels and Tiffany & Co. In her court petition, Toni says she only has a net worth of between $1 million and $10 million, and will be unable to pay back the bills owed. The ‘Un-Break oy Heart’ singer first filed for bankruptcy in 1998 after leaving her music company. Since then, the Grammy winner has expanded her career to include acting and theatre work, but has suffered several health setbacks in recent years, including developing vascular disease and having a benign tumour removed from her breast two years ago.
