Tom Cruise has laid down a strict set of Scientology rules for Kate Holmes and their newborn daughter Suri.
- No sugar!
Kate loves cupcakes but health-nut Tom says she can’t eat anything sweet anywhere near Suri. Apparently, babies can smell and detect sugar.
- Keep the lights down low!
Tom reckons bright light could somehow damage their baby so lighting must be kept to a bare minimum.
- No loud music!
Kate likes Coldplay but Tom insists only classical music may be played in Suri’s presence. According to a Scientologist friend, “It builds the baby’s creative powers. It helps with problem-solving.”
Tom may not be very popular with his bride-to-be at the moment. However, he can at least rest assured he is popular among his fellow countrymen. Well, more popular than President George W Bush, anyway.
According to a new poll, 35 percent of Americans have a favourable impression of Tom, while only 31 percent approve of the president.
