Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have taken part in a Scientology-based “wedding” ceremony – on a ship. The pair exchanged rings emblazoned with triangular Scientology symbols. Witnesses at the ceremony included fellow Scientology fans John Travolta and Kirstie Alley. An insider reports, “Katie wore a flowing white dress and Tom was in a black suit as they exchanged rings during the brief 30-minute ceremony. The couple then walked across a tiny bridge – a Scientology symbol for the journey to total freedom.” Asked about the ship ceremony, a spokesperson for Tom says, “All I can say is they are not married in any sense of the word.” Katie and Tom plan to wed for real later this year.
