After 20 years of writers’ block, Rod has released his first album of new material.
Writing his tell-all biography unlocked the 68-year-old’s creative juices and the album is just as revealing.
Catchy track It’s Over reflects on his failed marriages to Alana Stewart and Rachel Hunter, and Pure Love is a touching ballad about the joys of parenthood. His voice may be rougher, but age has not made Rod cynical.
She Makes Me Happy is reminiscent of 1971 classic Maggie May – as he sings about his love for current wife, Penny Lancaster.
