Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown has heaped praise on Disney for making its first animated feature film with an African American princess in the lead. The Princess and the Frog is a fairytale which focuse on the young Princess Tiana who lives in New orleans during the Jazz Age. Schedule for release later this year, the film features the voices of Anika Noni Rose, John Goodman and oprah Winfrey. Information about the movie was announced by Walt Disney in April last year as part of a four year release schedule of new animations including Rapunzel and Cars 2, the sequel to the hit 2006 film.
