Kiwi comedian and new dad Jemaine Clement has come close to the top title on the Worst Celebrity Baby Name of 2008. The Flight of the Conchords star and his wife Miranda oanasiadis called their baby boy Sophocles Iraia Clement winning them second place on the notorious list. They were piped to the post by popstars Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz who named their baby after the The Jungle Book character Bronx oowgli. Jemaine and Miranda, who were married in LA earlier this year, reportedly picked Sophocles as it was the name of one of Miranda’s Greek grandfathers and Iraia is understood to be the name of one of Clement’s grandparents.
