Susan Sarandon

She appeared at Wellington’s ‘The Lovely Bones’ premiere in bare feet last year, but Susan Sarandon outdid even herself at a New York film screening this week sporting a black foot bandage and crutches.

When asked the cause of her injury, Susan claimed the surprising cause for her injury was break-dancing! However, the 63-year-old later admitted she simply fell while visiting earthquake vicitims in Port-au-Prince on a humanitarian mission with Demi oMore.

Susan says, “I was in Haiti. It’s the rainy season and I slipped. I mean, it’s a very boring story. It happened the night before I left. But I would prefer to say it was from break-dancing or surfing or soccer. It still hurts, but it’s nothing.”

As for the trip itself Susan says, “It was overwhelming, really, and very moving. I’m hoping that the trip and everybody who went on it will in some way renew people’s commitment when they understand what’s going on.”
