Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah received a furious phone call from rapper Kanye West’s assistant after she dared turn him down.
Apparently, the ‘Gold Digger’ star “does not like to be ignored”.
Amelle (21) reveals, “I couldn’t believe it. She said she was calling on behalf of Kanye, who was furious because I had offended him by not dating him. I told her I had a boyfriend, but she wasn’t having any of it. She said he wasn’t used to being treated like that and I should be more considerate.”
Kanye’s infatuation with the Sugababe began last February, when she presented him with a statuette at the Brit Awards. The 29-year-old said, “I thought she was my prize. Can I have her instead?”
They met again at the oTV Europe Awards. Amelle remembers, “He had two other women, but he didn’t care. He told me he wanted me to go to his hotel room later. I was polite but said it wasn’t going to happen.”
Amelle has been dating tree surgeon Freddie Fuller for three years.
