Steps Club 7?

It seems recently reformed Take That’s win at the Brit Awards may be inspiring other 1990s pop bands to reunite for one more shot at stardom. The current rumour is that Steps and S Club 7 are planning to tour together in 2008 and record a Steps vs S Club 7 album. Also lined up to reunite are the Spice Girls, who will join the stage as a quintet for the first time in nearly a decade in London later this year, to be followed by a national tour. An insider reveals, “They are really keen to do it if there is a charity angle. They are talking about doing it for Bono’s Red campaign. It’s been on the cards for a while, at least a couple of months. They are all good friends now.” The reunion will have to wait until former Baby Spice Emma Bunton has her baby in the summer, and Scary Spice gives birth in March. They will be touring with Boyzone, who are also reforming for the concert. [20 February 2007]
