Rihanna has found herself in hot water after being accused of “sanctioning” domestic violence after admitting to talk show queen Oprah Winfrey she still “misses” ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
Despite the Forever singer brutally attacking her in 2009, leaving her with facial injuries, Rihanna said she was more worried about Chris and the impact the incident had on him.

“’Who’s gonna help him? Nobody’s gonna say he needs help. Everybody’s gonna say he’s a monster without looking at the source. I was more concerned about him,” she told Oprah.
Charities and women’s rights groups, however, have criticised her comments, saying there’s no excuse for violence.

Rihanna arrives at the premiere of ‘Battleship’ at Nokia Theatre, May 2012.
Vivienne Hayes, chief executive of the Women’s Resource Centre, told The Independent, “Whatever the nature of the argument, [Brown] chose to beat her up. And we need to stop society allowing us to normalise such behaviour.”
