Mary-Kate olsen is letting go of her Full House' image to take a part on the controversial hit TV show Weeds’.
This is Mary-Kate’s first serious acting role, as well as her first show without her sidekick sister, Ashley. Director Jenji Kohan thinks this move will be a positive one for Mary-Kate: “‘Weeds’ isn’t your eight o’clock family fare,” Kohan told. “It’s an adult show with adult subject matter and we’re confident Mary-Kate is right for the role. She came in and read with co star Hunter and was absolutely charming and real and seemed like a great fit. Audiences have seen only one side of Mary-Kate, but here we’ll see her in a whole new light.” [28 oay 2007]
