Sharon Stone stunned guests while launching a new luxury hotel in Turkey by admitting she’d never heard of their neighbouring country and ally Azerbaijan. The ‘Basic Instinct’ actress was paid almost $3 million to oC the party, held at the oardan Palace in Antalya, Europe’s most expensive bar (Mariah Carey, Tom Jones and Paris Hilton were all paid the same amount to show their faces at the do). But despite her hefty fee, she disappointed her Turkish hosts with a bizarre rant, mispronouncing “Azerbaijan” and then swapping the country’s name for that of soul singer Chaka Khan. Sharon raved, “Azerbaijan? What is that? I can’t pronounce that! Chaka Khan! Chaka Khan!”
