Shakira’s body secrets

Contrary to popular belief, ‘Hips Don’t Life’ singer Shakira says her enviably toned stomach isn’t the result of belly dancing. The sexy Colombian says, “Belly dancing is good but I think it makes your muscles a little bit too flexible, which is fine but it’s no good for the six-pack. If I wanted a six-pack, I would have to do a lot of sit-ups. I feast on egg whites with edamame beans or sometimes just a banana. I eat yummy stuff too but I have to watch it. Really watch it!” Shakira has also recently confessed that she has had trouble with songwriting. She tells, “Writing songs used to be so difficult for me. A few years ago I could barely speak English and I used to write my songs with a dictionary. It was a real labour of love and I would sit there for hours, just looking up words. But now thankfully it comes to me more naturally and spontaneously.” Shakira’s latest album, ‘She Wolf’, will come out later this year and is mostly in English.
