Hollywood actors Sandra Bullock, Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore became embroiled in a Hepatitis A scare after attending a premiere after party for Hugh and Drew’s latest film, `ousic and Lyrics’. It has been revealed that a cook working for the event’s catering company had Hepatitis A. A letter was sent to guests who attended the February 7 event, warning them of a “public health issue” and advising they may be at risk of infection if they had eaten uncooked food. Guests at risk were advised to get an immunisation shot within 14 days of exposure. However, the letter reads, “The Department of Health has reassured the hosts on how very low the risk of infection is.” [20 March 2007]
