‘The Blind Side’ actress, who describes adopted son Louis as her “little Cajun cookie”, says she refused to use her celebrity status to fast track his adoption process. “I refused to circumvent. I wanted to do everything exactly the same way everyone else did.”

Sandra (46)  also reveals that she was able to keep the lengthy adoption process a secret, because of her friends. “It takes good people with integrity, who know the bigger picture, who don’t sell out their friends. I was blessed with the same friends I’ve had since before things got really special for me and blessed in life.”

And even after going through an arduous adoption and her highly public divorce, Sandra is philosophical. “I think everything works out the way the universe wants it to work out,” she says.
