It’s all in the family, according to the Brentwood Duo.

After a successful audition on the show, the Kiwi pair received a huge amount of attention, but before that they had already caught Hollywood’s eye.

“We knew there was going to be a good reaction, but I think we both underestimated the scale of it,” said Finley, 26.

Before their TV debut, the siblings were blown away when actor Ryan Reynolds, who stars in the movie Deadpool posted their acoustic cover of Deadpool Rap on his personal Facebook page.

“We were busking at the time and saw a notification saying ‘Ryan Reynolds shared your video…’ We actually didn’t believe it and thought we were being spammed,” they told Newshub.

Soon after Ryan’s post, Isla and Finley were approached by Milan Records who wanted to include their version of the rap on the soundtrack album Deadpool Reloaded.

“They loved our version and asked if we would be interested in recording it for the re-release of the Deadpool Reloaded soundtrack… Again we thought we were being spammed, but replied with a ‘HELL YES’, just in case.”
