Ryan Gosling: Actors should get

Actor Ryan Gosling has had a taste of working in a less glamorous job and thinks all actors should give it a go. The 30-year-old star worked as a cashier in a sandwich shop earlier in his career, and thinks it has kept him from having problems with fame. “[People in Hollywood] have meals. They go to Pilates. But it’s not enough. So they do drugs. If everybody had a pile of rocks in their backyard and spent every day moving them from one side of the yard to the other, it would be a much happier place.” Not afraid of a normal lifestyle, Ryan also took on the challenge of living on the budget of a painter and a nurse with Michelle Williams while preparing for their roles in ‘Blue Valentine’, ensuring everything they did was like the lives of their characters.
