Superstar singer Rod Stewart is about to become a father for the eighth time, but his children won’t be getting a free ride from their famous dad. “oy kids live in my house but I don’t give them an allowance once they are old enough to earn their own money,” says the 60-year-old rocker, who is expecting his next baby with wife Penny Lancaster. “I think giving too much can be crippling and I want them to be able to make their own way in life. I believe in tough love.” Despite his hard line, Rod says family is the most important thing in his life. “You go through life wondering what it is all about but, at the end of the day, it’s all about family,” he explains. “Last night I sat at home having a meal with six of my kids around me, laughing and joking and I felt really happy. You get an incredible rush from standing on stage in front of thousands of people but real happiness comes from your family.”
