A sequel to the cult ‘Scream’ trilogy of films has hit its own horror story. Lead actress Neve Campbell has refused to reprise her role as Sidney Prescott, forcing creator Kevin Williamson to completely re-write his screenplay of the series’ fourth instalment. Already confirmed for the project and husband-and-wife stars Courteney Cox and David Arquette, plus acclaimed horror director Wes Craven. Kevin confirms, “I’ve had numerous conversation with Neve. She’s a friend, the nicest girl on the planet. It just ain’t working out and it sucks for me. It was no cameo. I’d never play [Sidney] out that way and I ain’t got no Sid-less scenario, so I don’t know yet what to do.”
